Actual Play- Spire- The Network

Trigger warning: Spire deals with themes of racial inequality and fighting against social injustice.

Brother Knife’s identity has been revealed to authorities. Already, he has been arrested and executed. Since no one else from the crew has been picked up, it is safe to assume that Brother Knife didn’t break. Given the nature of their work, the crew has reason to believe that it was a fellow drow that revealed their companion’s identity. Loose ends have got to get tied up one way or another.

Episode 49 – Shadowrun Pt 2 The Return

A little over three years ago, we recorded an episode where Noah explained the world of Shadowrun to us plebs. We meant to do a follow-up episode, but we forgot. Now that the stars have aligned, Noah has returned to RPX along with special guest Crazon/Review Cultist of Al Dente Rigamortis & One Less Die podcasts to regale our listeners with more Shadowrun lore! Buckle up ‘chummer’ (Shadowrun slang for friend), it is going to be a wild ride.

Curious about Shadowrun? Be sure to check out Crazon’s actual play podcast One Less Die.

Episode 46 – Elevation Post Mortem

After finishing Elevation, the Red Markets campaign written by Sean Farris, we all got back together to discuss the experience we lovingly nicknamed ‘The Gauntlet’. Join us as we reflect on our favorite moments from Elevation.  Learn how things might have played out differently had the Bread Winners made other decisions.

Elevation is a Red Markets supplement written by our game master / market Sean Farris.  Elevation comes with the fully fleshed out enclave of Elevation, along with the job lines seen depicted in this actual play series.

Where did we get all those cool new toys?  Why Veblen Goods, of course.  Veblen Goods is a Red Markets supplement cowritten by Sean Farris and Matt Campen of The Drunk & The Ugly podcast.  Veblen Goods provides players with new tools, technology, weapons, vehicles and optional rules.

You can find both Elevation and Veblen Goods at DriveThru RPG.

You may have noticed that we are playtesting new taker tough spots. Nick Schaake (Nex) created these and you can view them here.

Actual Play- Red Markets – Elevation – EP 4 One By Land, Three If By Train

It’s moving day and do or die for Elevation. The Breadwinners have been tapped to protect the enclave’s precious cargo as it makes its way by train to St. Louis. They’re prepared for a nasty fight, but can they overcome the enemies they’ve made along the way?

Nick –  Nex – The salesman for the Breadwinners, who had a surefire business opportunity. A slick tongue and good business strategy means nothing when going up against a controlled economy, though.

Brownie – Von –  A tinkerer familiar with a wrench as tool and weapon. A bit too fussy for his own good, and with, uh, Extreme Luck.

Adam – Skidz – Her taker brother vanished, so now she has to take up the taker life to care for her niece. She’s quick and on-edge, which is an asset on the job.

Chris – Decoy – The hero of Elevation, who played a crucial part in taking back the grain silos during an occupation. Definitely not dumb as a post.

Actual Play- Red Markets – Elevation – EP 3 – Spring Cleaning

Spring Cleaning. In for a penny, in for a pound – the Breadwinners will help Elevation survive no matter what, but they need to get paid in order to clean up a granary where silence is key.

For more information on Descent into Midnight head on over to Kickstarter.

Actual Play – Red Markets – Elevation EP2 Operate Heavy Machinery

Out of worry for the community (and not poor negotiation), the Breadwinners decide to take a loss in order to help Elevation survive. Working with a crew of experts from the Trabajo enclave in Colorado, the Breadwinners must defend the mechanics as they repair the damaged train tracks at a small rail station in an industrial park.

Actual Play – Red Markets – Elevation – EP 1 The Long Walk

The first mistake the Breadwinners made was when they signed the non-disclosure agreement. If they ever talked about what happened on the multi-state walk, their rights would be forfeit. They never expected that information had already have leaked.
