Actual Play – Night’s Black Agents – Chuck’s Angels – EP 1

Our friends at One Less Die graciously hosted a Night’s Black Agents mini-campaign, which was definitely not inspired by a certain YA series about sparkly vampires. We’ll be sharing these episodes from One Less Die on RPX. If you enjoy them, be sure to visit One Less Die for more great content.

It’s 2005, a retired colleague turned small town sheriff gives the agents a call: Chuck Eagle. He’s calling in a favor as he fears his daughter Nella has been taken in with a family who may be Drug Dealers. Unfortunately between his own closeness to the situation and a series of killings near his town that is sparking tension and worry, he can’t focus on his Daughter’s situation. His gut is saying something’s rotten here and asking the crew to come out to rainy Sporks, Washington for one last favor. Remember, Helsinki.

Session 1: Operation Sunset

In the wake of a disastrous operation, the crew mount one final desperate gambit to attain retribution against a vengeful adversary before abandoning the city of Los Ligeros. Faking their deaths, members of the crew lie in wait while Craig Sirota, the apparent sole survivor, serves as bait.

The neo-noir cyber chickens have come home to roost. The walls are closing in fast on the crew. After their daring assaults sparked an all-out secret corporate war, they find themselves trapped squarely in the crosshairs of vengeful megacorp overlords. Meanwhile, someone has put a price on Craig’s head – and they are willing to go through his family to get him.

The crew finds themselves in the center of a dangerous, high stakes effort to band all the city’s gangs together against a powerful common enemy. After securing the Space Needle 2 as a “discrete” venue, the crew rushes to prepare defenses and escape routes in case things take a deadly turn. Surely these are unneeded precautions.

Amid the escalating hostilities between powerful megacorporations and territorial gangs, the crew find themselves with an unlikely employer, “The Chameleon”. Tasked with quelling violence and brokering peace between waring factions in the politician’s district, the crew (and Craig) must put personal grievances aside for the better of the community.

The crew is in the thick of it.  Banshee has received a mysterious offer to participate in Death Race 20XX with Watch riding shotgun.  Craig is devising an “Undercover Boss” scheme to infiltrate CyGen’s corporate defenses.  And Elena? Well, she’s taking the extreme entry approach, planning a   hang-gliding  (while bungee jumping? ) to infiltrate CyGen.

Lars Foxwell was once the gold boy for megacorporation Nanolink. When his developments in artificial intelligence caught the wrong kind of attention he was forced to flee. Now presumed dead by many, he reaches out to the crew with a target they can’t resist, Cygen.

Freelance legend Neo Chromesleeves is facing a meltdown – literally.  The chips that Nanolink implanted him with during his tenure as their agent are starting to fail.  Turns out, these upgrades came with a nasty hidden feature: planned obsolescence for expendable assets.  With his back against the wall and nowhere left to run, the crew is Neo’s only hope.

Actual Play – The Sprawl -S2 City At War – EP 4

The crew has hustled their way into four tickets for the Fracas: two green and two blue. Unfortunately – those colors aren’t just for aesthetics purposes. Blue tickets are VIP passes for the wealthy, granting them a significant advantage compared to the green tickets. Divided by this social divide, the team must strategize to reunite within the Fracas and eliminate their target, Colonel Starling.
