Actual Play – Red Markets 10K – Episode 17 – Moving Day

It’s a busy week for the Freelance crew. They’ve been tasked by the Crusaders of Operation Ellingson to escort a crew of new recruits from their main outpost to the Minnesota weapons testing facility. Believers have never been a stable lot, and those who’ve gone study sick are even more prone to… quirks. Here’s hoping no wrinkles are thrown their way.

Nick – Toss Up – Canadian demolitions expert caught on the wrong side of the fence but the right side of the nukes.

Aaron – Munchkin – Aaron’s new character.  Child soldier archtype.  Don’t get too attached, this is Aaron we are talking about.

Sid – Prof. Bjorn – Visiting academic going on a hunting trip with his son when the crash hit

Raymond – Colt – Combat medic who can gun two ways.

Freelance takes on a job to acquire vertical transportation bikes from a specialized warehouse.  If it were just an issue of getting the bikes, the job would’ve been a milk run.  Cue  “Low End’s Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.”

Freelance brave treacherous weather to travel to Marconi Motors in search of schematics for a 3D printer.  However, things aren’t quite a peaceful as the appear in the abandoned car plant.

The Crash affected everyone differently and just because you survived does not mean that you could cope with what your life had become. Add to it forced servitude under a Randian Cult and desperation can quickly follow. Freelance is hired by Doc Williams one of the indentured medical staff of Mayo to procure a sizable amount of lithium for him to produce “medications” as part of his eventual plans for escape.

Actual Play -Red Markets 10K Lakes – Episode 10 – Great American Dog Race

Roads have broken down 5 years after the Crash, meaning the residents of the 10k have to find alternate modes of travel. The folks at Kennel have hired Freelance for a simple delivery job – get three sleds with attached sled dogs to their clients over at Castle Danger. Surely, this will be a milk run.
